Styles of Jewelry in different cultures - Part 1

The Pollera is the traditional Panamanian dress.  It is full of colors, fabric, beads and ruffles.  Women wear the Pollera during the holiday processions, folklore dance and even by brides on their wedding day.  The pollera is primarily hand sewn costume that consists of petticoats, gathered skirts and ruffled blouses.  The pollera dress is enhanced with hair ornaments, jewelry and accessories.  The head dress can consist of tembleques featuring beaded and sometimes Swarovski crystal studded hair pieces held in place with gold combs.
